G. Dallas Hancock, Ph.D.(c), D.C.

Dr. Hancock is a Chiropractic Physician who specializes in cranial techniques. He has maintained his private practice in Tampa, Florida since 1976.  Through years of clinical research and practice he has identified many patterns of postural / neuromuscular compensation that appear in almost all patients.  Dr. Hancock has named these 'universal patterns' Primary Compensatory Patterns (PCP) to distinguish them from more transient functional compensation patterns.  He has also developed effective, long-lasting cranial techniques that release these Primary compensation patterns and provide long-term benefits.  The result is pain relief, improved posture, and better muscle function throughout the body.

Dr. Hancock began studying and utilizing cranial therapy in 1974.  He has studied the cranial techniques developed / presented by Drs. DeJarnette, Gehin, Goodheart, Magoun, Stober, Sutherland, Upledger, Walther, Walker, and other cranial practitioners.

Dr. Hancock founded the National Institute of Craniosacral Studies, Inc. (NICS) in 1988 to share the knowledge he derived from his studies, and the new cranial techniques he had developed, with other health care professionals.  NICS has since been replaced by Hancock CranioSomatic Institute.  Dr. Hancock currently teaches CranioSomatic workshops for health care professionals in the United States, Canada and Europe.
